Collie is Trinity College Dublin<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span> Biodiversity Officer and a Zoology research associate specialising in invertebrates, reptiles and amphibians. He has spent the last 15 years working in frontline conservation in Ireland and abroad, and is a regular nature commentator on Irish TV and radio.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In this talk, Collie dives into the hidden lives of Ireland\u2019s amphibians – the frogs, newts and toads quietly getting on with their lives in ponds, ditches and forgotten corners of our countryside and towns. From strange breeding habits and unexpected migrations to how they survive the Irish weather, this is a look at animals most people think they know\u2026 but really don\u2019t.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Expect some myth-busting, fun field stories from the margins, and a renewed sense of wonder for some of the island\u2019s most overlooked creatures.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
