Shannon Town Community Wetlands, Duchas na Sionna and the Local Authority Waters Programme, invite you to join in a celebration of World Wetlands Day, on Monday 2nd February at 2.30pm.\u00a0 This will be a two-part event beginning with a site visit, a walk and talk of the Shannon Wetlands restoration project, led by committee members and Ruair\u00ed \u00d3 Conch\u00fair (LAWPRO). The site visit will be followed by an illustrated talk by Ruair\u00ed \u00d3 Conch\u00fair, in the warmth and comfort of the Shannon Springs Hotel. The presentation will highlight the crucial role wetlands play at a local, national, and global scale. This free community event will include refreshments, and all are welcome. Please meet at the Shannon Wetlands entrance on Tullyvarraga\u00a0Road at 2.30 pm. and Shannon Springs Hotel at 3.15p.m. Please bring wellington boots and suitable\u00a0clothing.<\/p>\n
