February 2nd (Bank Holiday Monday) is World Wetlands Day!
@killorglintidytowns have asked Pascal Sweeney MSc Ecology to lead a guided walk.
It will start at the Bianconi car park at 11.30, to coincide with low tide. He will take a sample of the insect life in the Laune to look at in a tray, then walk up along the riverbank and talk about the habitat, tree species and ground flora. About one hour.
Usual cup of tea etc. afterwards.
Be prepared for a muddy walkway!
